Hello friend! Welcome to The Queen of Wands. We hope to be many things, and we will share all of our great ideas and plans with you in due time. For now, though, we want to stick our flag in the ground here in Pittsburgh and make a declaration: we’re here, and we’re fixing to make this place better however we can.

What is the Queen of Wands? First and foremost, we’re a store where you can safely and comfortably buy sex toys. Yes, it’s that simple. Though vestigial puritanical mores might force us to jump through hoops to make it more complicated than it needs to be, our goal will always be to get yinzers what they need to safely, ethically, and healthily feel good in, about, and for their bodies.

And yes, it turns out ‘healthily’ is a word. See, we’re already learning stuff!

Moreover, though, we are an idea - we’re the idea that you should be allowed to think about sex toys without feeling some kind of way about it. We’re the idea that sex is good for you, and it’s normal, and (provided it is done safely and ethically) it is good for all of us. We’re the idea that there’s still some spark of joy out there somewhere (perhaps buried deep, to be found only with a thorough massaging). We’re the idea that what’s going to save society is not going to come from a tech bro or a fancy phone. We’re the idea that the future is queer, feminine, non-binary, and intersectional. We’re the idea that above all what really matters is the people around us - our community; our home.

We’ll be using this website for the foreseeable future to share our thoughts, ideas and plans, as well as whatever interesting stuff we can find to learn about in the areas of sexuality, gender, and society. We don’t have a physical location yet, but we’re too passionate about this stuff to wait around for a storefront to begin building this community.
